A nice little town that catered for all ages especially liked the puzzle museum, one downside was the price of the toilets which at 50p is expensive. The meals at Brasserie 31 while expensive was very good as was the meal we had at the Golden Lion

There are wonderful hikes of all different lengths -- one hour to 8 hours -- and you get extraordinary views from all of them. And there always seems to be a nearby pub at the end of the hike! Truly great hiking and friendly people. We had a great dinner at the Fellpack restaurant too.

Very nice town many interesting shops pubs and cafes with a very good museum stop the weekly market small bit interesting. It was a very short walk down to the waterfront which has a good compliment of boats etc. The variety of pubs was excellent and it was much appreciated that the town had a wetherspoon. As a transport hub it was easy for myself which did not have a car to visit many areas. It is also close to both high heels for walking and for much lower level walks what's up this would suit all tastes.

The Lake District is a beautiful part of England and Keswick is a lovely place within it. It's big enough to have a small town feel bit small enoght to have a village feel. Coupled with this is its direct position on the lake with its beautiful views of hills/mountains (I can never tell the difference!) in balance with the lake on its islands. Altogether its a wonderfully peaceful place to chill alone or socialise with lovely people as you choose.
A charming house on a side street in Keswick. An easy walk to the main shopping streets and many restaurants. Quiet. Comfortable space with a nice sitting room and decent kitchen, quite well stocked with equipment. The sitting space for eating is small--I was trying to use it for a work desk while also doing meals for the 4 of us, since we cook a lot of meals ourselves. The parking on the street in front of the house was easy but seemed like it could have been a problem in more crowded moments.
Four night break in Keswick, walking.
Excellent location within a few minutes of the town centre and with plenty of free parking.
We stayed on half board basis, with lots of options for the evening meal on the set menu. Vegetarian options available.
Extremely friendly staff in all areas - Reception, cleaning staff and restaurant staff.
Massive room at the back of the hotel. Very comfortable bed. Good size bathroom with lots of hot water and a bath with shower over.
Going with family I wanted a discount self catering option in or close to Keswick and the Derwentwater Hotel did not disappoint. Literally 2 miles from the center. 2 Bed apartment was more than spacious for 4 people with everything we needed for our short stay. And the location was spot on with beautiful grounds to walk around too. Staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough. Prices were reasonable in the restaurant and bar where we spent the evening relaxing.
I loved the excellent location of the hostel (within 1/4 of a mile of the town centre) as well as the excellent staff.
There was always plenty of activities to partake in, due to the location of Keswick : )
I was especially surprised to discover that I was the only person occupying my bedroom (due to the time of my stay, a week before the busy Easter holidays and that my room came with a very good en-suite bathroom.
Located overlooking the main square in Keswick means it can get a bit noisy but the benefits of easy access to all of the town centre amenities far outweighed that inconvenience. The room was spacious and the bathroom was very modern and well equipped. The hotel public areas were well maintained and the restaurant service and food quality was very good.
Right on the pedestrian only square in Keswick. Right by the old church/town hall. Perfect location. Beautiful hotel, winding staircase, all the charm of old world hotel. Rustic bar. Rooms were clean and big. Staff were great, restaurant downstairs for dinner was great, and nice breakfast. Car parking is just behind the hotel basically. Charming.
Lovely peaceful area yet still just a short walk from the town centre. We found easy on street parking by the hotel. Room and bathroom had a homely feel, were clean and comfortable with all the usual requirements. Being on the top level it also had outstanding views. Breakfast was superb with absolutely everything you could ask for available.
Clean and comfortable, well equipped and superb location. Nice views from lounge and kitchen. Good WiFi and television channel choice. Kitchen well equipped and milk, tea and coffee on arrival. Short walk to Keswick Town centre and supermarkets, pubs restaurants and cafes.
Mark was very welcoming at check-in, showed us to our room & rest of the facilities
Room was clean, bed was a good size & very comfy
Mandy cooked a good Full English, with any variation you wanted
Only a 5 minute walk from town centre
Would definitely stay again
Great B&B in an excellent position close to Keswick town centre . Comfortable well appointed room, very warm and cosy on cold november nights. Plentiful full English breakfast and very friendly and helpful hosts. Would definitely recommend.
Lovely friendly and helpful couple/owner's.
Nice clean rooms and just a short walk to Keswick town centre.
English breakfast's were delicious, using quality ingredients 😋.
A nice warm welcoming place to stay for a few days 😊.
Both the hotel and the location were great! Keswick is a quaint, beautiful place and there’s lots to do. We spent a lot of time hiking in the Lake District and the hotel prepared delicious picnic lunches for us in advance.
Breakfast was superb and they catered for a dairy free diet. The staff were very helpful and did all we could expect. Location was good and the bus stopped outside the hotel for Keswick which we used.
Excellent location very close to the town centre but also very quiet. Car parking was an important consideration so to have a reserved space ticked every box.
