Loved the location , loved the cost , very reasonable , room is clean , bed was not as comfortable as the last time we stayed for me anyway , hubby slept just fine :) It was perfect for our one night stay.

Toowoomba is within easy reach of people from Brisbane or other parts of Southern Queensland looking a short break. The city is large enough to have the facilities and entertainment options for travellers, and small enough to get around easily. If you are travelling during one of the major events during the year, such as the Carnival of Flowers, it is essential to book accommodation in advance. I visited recently during the Toowoomba Marathon, which is a sizeable event but does not result in crowding. Public transport is available in Toowoomba, but has limited operating hours on some routes, so taking your own vehicle or a taxi can be necessary for some trips. Two attractions which are most appealing are the Cobb and Co Museum and, if you are going to the cinema, the historic Strand cinemas in the city centre.

My accomodation at the met hotel the place is not what it is advertising. In Toowoomba be aware you must have funds for parking.thete is no free parking on offer. Also be aware youth crime rate high do not keep valuables in full vision. Do not walk arround on your own of evening Toowoomba is a really good place for shopping and eateries. I would recommend the post office hotel or coffee club for a good coffee and egg Benny

Toowoomba is great.
Toowoomba is great. Smaller than the likes of Brisbane city, but bigger than the average country town. I'm a fan, we'll be back.
Toowoomba is very easy to navigate, being mostly laid out in a grid pattern. Easy to walk around the heart of the city for shopping and food.

It’s very diverse, lots of sightseeing, plenty of places to go and eat. The Asian gardens are at their best in spring and autumn as they are my favourite time of year.
Has some great places to go shopping. Once of the main road through town the side streets look pretty with all the jacaranda trees that have been growing for over a hundred plus years.
If you want to see them in full bloom then visit for the yearly flower festival held every spring.

Toowoomba is a great town.
Toowoomba is a great town.
I love the way that it has retained much of it's heritage and feel of being a big country town rather than a city.
Locals are friendly and helpful, streets are wide and parking is easy.
I will be back...
I love the location, the sincere and friendly staff. The pub downstairs was the best in town. The authenticity and architecture of a 19th century hotel in a traditional small Australian city with a country feel was just what l wanted for a break and the Met delivered on every level. The high ceilings and granite partitions in the bathrooms was charming and refreshing in a quick build minimalist post modern world. I think the Met in Toowoomba is a fantastic choice for a great getaway , l will definitely be coming back!
The staff were welcoming, everything was easy, the rooms were spotless and everything you need was provided, kitchen items, sink, microwave, extremely comfortable beds! Air conditioning and ceiling fans - a favourite for me. It was a hotel where when I thought of something I needed - it was there - fabulous and I won’t stay anywhere else from now on when I visit Toowoomba.
This was not a 5 Star hotel, nor did we expect it to be. However for the price and our needs it was very suitable. Clean, friendly room had what we needed. Other members of our family also stayed. We noticed that it was near full each night so that is telling you something. Having the basic breakfasts was good for us. Saved us time and money. Thank you.
Check-in was easy and the little contact we had with staff was pleasant. The room was a good size and very clean. The king bed was very comfortable. The hotel location is pretty good, being only a few minutes drive to Picnic Point or the CBD. There are some nice cafes nearby and a shopping centre / supermarket a few hundred meters down the street.
New, modern, clean, great beds, spacious, self contained with great views of Toowoomba. Close to a bakery, Stellarosa coffee shop and shopping. We were delighted with the two bedroom apartment where every seat was comfortable and the pillows and mattresses were perfect. Lots of power points meant we had no trouble charging our phones.
The location is fantastic and the hotel offers a little luxury compared to some of the other motels in the area. Walking distance to everything at a reasonable price, great service and all of the amenities you need. In the vicinity of local shopping, theatres, bars and cafes without having to get in the car.
This is a budget motel, so the rooms are a little tired, but it is in a handy location at the top of the Range in Toowoomba. Easy drive to Picnic Point or down to the Toowoomba CBD. The check-in process was self-serve, but adequate instructions were provided to access the key.
Rooms are nicely self contained and isolated from outside noise. Even though the main road is outside, you can barely hear it! Nestled across the road from the Royal Hotel, it's a wonderful little spot to have a bed for the night after celebrating with friends and family.
Great owners and have stayed here when ever we go to Toowoomba for years.close to everything. And whenever my family come down there we always book room 11 as it is fully self contained and roomy.
Fantastic hotel in the heart of Toowoomba! I’ve stayed at a number of hotels in the area for various work visits to Toowoomba and Potters has been by far the best!
Comfortable room, very quiet despite being a weekend with a lot of bar custom in the bar. Food option in the hotel restaurant plus shopping centre next door
The hotel was really close to the shopping centre and just a few mins walk. Staff were friendly and helpful and the restaurant served really nice food.
