Amazing staff, facilities and prices (we booked on a weekday so I know it'll be pricier other times). Our room was ready early, staff were super helpful and the room, view and the winter gardens being right in the lobby was spectacular!

Never stayed at a hotel that was so hospitable. Hotel staff constantly took care of us and anything we needed. They really treated us like family and brought us homemade pastries every morning that just made our day. We really appreciated our fridge was stocked with water and milk every day. The restaurant's food is amazing and the atmosphere is so relaxing. The rooms on the top floor were perfect for our stay and had beautiful views of Sheffield. The staff was so helpful at helping me get around town and give me ideas on kid friendly activities around town. Love the location of the hotel as well. You're in walking distance to the Botanical Gardens and Endcliffe Park as well as the downtown boutique shops. Matthew recommended us to visit Graves Animal Park and that was only a 15 minute drive and perfect place for children.

Partially located in the Peak District, Sheffield is best known as the setting of "The Full Monty" and indeed, vibrant Sheffield has everything: excellent shopping, great nightlife and an impressive athletic heritage.
It first became famous during the Industrial Revolution for its pioneering role in the UK steel industry. One technique invented here is commemorated in the name of its most famous theater, The Crucible, home of the Snooker World Championships.
Close by are the peaceful Winter Gardens with their multi-arched roof. The Peace Gardens are overlooked by the elegant town hall, and the focal building of the impressive Botanical Gardens somewhat resembles Crystal Palace, also by the same architect.
The city’s 2 soccer teams – Sheffield United and Wednesday – play at Bramall Lane and Hillsborough Stadium respectively. The cutting-edge English Institute of Sport is also based here, and the nearby Sheffield Arena is a prime UK venue for music and entertainment. The best shopping is found in the Meadowhall Centre near Rotherham.
Booking.com’s Sheffield accommodations include city center hotels with parking, others by Victoria Train Station, and guesthouses near Doncaster Sheffield Robin Hood Airport.
There is no aircon in the rooms.
The rooms are a claustrophobic worse nightmare.
A really weird layout.
Parking is over priced and restricted with no guarantee that you’ll have a space if you go out and come back.
The room floor gets wet after a shower and as it isn’t carpet stays wet unless you use your towel.
All of the staff were very friendly and polite.

I was visiting my Grandson at the University just for the weekend. I would have liked to stay longer to go walking in the Peak District. We did go walking Saturday afternoon but would have liked to do more.

Sheffield is a brilliant place for a short visit.
Sheffield is a brilliant place for a short visit. There's so much to do. It's a vibrant city with something for everyone – gigs, arts, countryside, shopping, people-watching. Very friendly to visitors. Plenty of trams and buses makes car-free travel easy. If you are travelling by car, allow plenty of time because it can get busy at peak periods. There is plenty of safe parking (try Qpark) but it's not cheap.
First time I'd been to a show at the City Hall, and I'm really impressed by the venue. Look up at the painted ceilings. Very comfortable seats, and excellent views of the stage.

The absolute chaos in the middle of town.
The absolute chaos in the middle of town. Why they couldn’t do one bit and finish it before going on to another part, I don’t know. There was only work being done on limited zones so planning could have caused far less inconvenience.
Also, it was very annoying that we couldn’t hail a taxi and had to walk through the cold and wet to get one and be inconvenienced by walking around all the scaffolding etc!
We loved the restaurants, however. Pizza Express was very helpful with our three small nieces and nephew. Piccolino made us very welcome and had delicious food. We also ate at Ask Italian, altogether positive.
The potholes and lumpy roads made driving around very scary.

We were visiting the Peak District for the second time and stayed at the Hilton as it worked out cheaper for the amount of time we were staying and is only a short drive away from all the countryside destinations we visited - around 20-25 minute drive
Staff were absolutely lovely - really welcoming and keen to help. Location was excellent for walking into Sheffield city centre and to the Crucible (we were there for the snooker) - and we loved the snooker-themed decorations! Room was very nice, clean and cosy. Breakfast bag was an added bonus for the very cheap price of a room on a Sunday. Also great to be able to have a drink in the cafe/bar when we got home late evening. We've already booked up for next year's visit for the snooker!
Communication was excellent. We had 10 of us staying for a stag do and the whole house was an amazing place to stay - well presented, modern, and tidy. Location was perfect for us, less than 10 minutes walk to Sheffield city and for us the other way to a 5 a side centre where we were attending for some stag sports activities. So much cheaper than buying a hotel for the group we had!
Great location, near the rail station and minutes from the city centre. The room was pure luxury, comfy mattress, so a great sleep, and to top if off, the breakfast was first class - they have thought of everything! The staff were exceptional - friendly and helpful - I would definitely recommend this as a perfect place to stay in Sheffield!
I like the building, the photos hanging in hotel to introduce Sheffield's history, the room renovation and set up which let me feel integrated into the old history. The heating tube is very good which can help me dry the washed clothes easily.
The receptionist are very polite, patient and helpful on solving problems.
Lovely clean room. Bar and restaurant looked very welcoming. Staff were friendly and very understanding when we had to leave in the middle of the night as I was ill. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in Sheffield but not in the city centre. Lovely country hotel and great value for money
Nice and clean rooms.
Friendly staff welcome us during early check in to this hotel.
We had very traditional English Breakfast
while we woke up to leave around 7 am in the morning.
Its in the city centre of Sheffield with £5 car parking.
Definitely we will stay again.
Clean, nice and modern and within walking distance of the Sheffield city centre. Was here for the world snooker championship and roughly a 10 min walk from ibis to the crucible. Great parking facilities and very secure at a great price. Would book again
The location of the hotel is perfect & the title of the hotel is exactly what it is. Very clean & adequate accommodation but could have done with more than 1 teabag in the room, 1 towel each & maybe 2 pillows each. Very basic but good value for money
Staff was so helpful, friendly, and kind. Easy to walk to Sheffield Bramall Stadium, right by bus depot, and train station. Room was good. Had some difficulty with the heat , staff helped. Minimal extras but enough of everything you need.
Convenient location for the City Centre with the car park next door which we were able to pre-book at a discount price. Friendly staff, very welcoming and the hotel and rooms were very clean and tidy.
Love staying at the Leonardo Hotel Sheffield, it is a very friendly place the staff are very friendly and helpful. We stay in Sheffield quite often and we always choose to stay in this hotel
Easy hotel is perfectly situated in city centre. Value for money is amazing. Spectacularly clean. Very modern. Staff cheerful and helpful. I would definitely recommend and stay again!
The hotel is at a very competitive location with other hotels, so it’s great for visiting nearby places in the city centre. The room was spacious and modern. Price reasonable.
