Great train network and cheap too!
Great train network and cheap too! You're able to buy Airport Express tickets online (and will get the same discount if you don't have an Octopus card). Have brekkie at cha chaan teng (delicious and cheap) and go hard on the yum cha of course. Recommend the Tram-o-ramic tour and hop on the Star ferry. Would also highly recommend catching the high speed ferry to Macau for a day trip or stay there a few nights. Love HK!!! You need at minimum 4 nights stay or longer ideally.

A unique combination of old and new, high rise skyscrapers and old buses compete side to side and from all this chaos, something beautiful emerges. A fusion of Chinese and European characteristics, a cultural melting pot that is truly exciting to experience.

The weather was bad when I arrived, so I really didn't get to actually complete my planned itinerary. I just checked out the weather every morning and went to not too far places and Disneyland since I already booked the ticket. Luckily, there was the MTR so despite the heavy rain I managed to go to various places without getting drenched too much, except on the day that I arrived. If you like strolling around without any plans or don't really feel the need to visit the most popular attractions, you can still visit cool places around Hong Kong. Google Maps should come in pretty handy when searching for places to explore.

HK has very good transport connections with the world and neighbouring places. Food is good but hotel tariff is much higher than the neighboring place like Shenzhen. Food is good. Service is efficient and friendly.
Booked this hotel for its location, Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are both in walkable distance. Surprisingly, the hotel has even got a shuttle bus that brought me to Central, I think they also had a stop at the Causeway Bay. There were 2 families checking in when I arrived, just when I thought it was going to take forever, a hotel staff came over and let me check in with a robot, it was quite convenient!
Special thanks to the room attendant who got me an extra pillow in just 3 mins after I called. Their room service was prompt and excellent.
It was my first visit to Hong Kong, so booked this hotel due to its location. Upon arrival I received a complimentary room upgrade with a Harbour view on 36th Floor. What a view it was. Come down the hotel and ferry to Kowloon was at short walk and I could see the fairy port from my window. Live music every night, a nice relaxing but busy lobby. Everything was at a walking distance. Staff very pleasant. I will for sure shay here again.
We had a great experience at Harbour Grand Hong Kong. We were given a free room upgrade which was nice. Our room was spacious and had a great view. The bed and pillows were comfortable. I saw they had a pillow menu but it wasn’t necessary as the ones in the room were perfect. The hotel was less than a 5 minute walk to a metro station which allows you to easily go anywhere you’d like. There were also a bunch of restaurants in the area.
Well, I have always been curious about this hotel b/c in Hong Kong, it is famous for F & B. I am sure (in normal times) the F & B makes much more than the rooms. So I got the Sky Tower (the 5 star floors) and the room was amazing with REAL tropical wood and REAL natural marble and a HOT bathtub. It was hard to say anything negative. I anlm really stretching to say that I did not really like the way the breakfast buffet was set up.
Love the location of this hotel being situated in the heart of a very local area Tai Kok Tsui and close to MTR links for exploring Kowloon, Hong Kong and further afield. Loved the local park and it’s exercise facilities, local restaurants and all Olympic City has to offer on your doorstep. The hotel offers a useful free shuttle bus service enabling ease of access to AirPort Express service.
This was a lovely hotel to stay in - everything was clean, they had complimentary tea in the room with kettle which I loved, the shower products were nice, and the view was great. Excellent location too, you can walk around Causeway Bay, Wan Chai, and the midlands. You can even walk to Hong Kong park in half an hour and take the tram up to Victoria Peak!
Murray Hotel was amazing during my recent stay in Hong Kong. The staff was outstanding, offering attentive and personalized service that made my visit truly memorable. A special mention must go to Aly and Kim, who went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Highly recommended for anyone looking for exceptional hospitality in Hong Kong!
Great location in Kowloon, just less than 1 minute away to Tsim Sha Tsui MTR. Facilities are functional and fair condition. Friendly, helpful staff. Good value for Hong Kong, with dorm beds starting around HK$200/night. A solid budget option, especially for solo travellers looking to meet other backpackers.
absolutely loved this hotel! so clean, modern and full of character. it’s a small room but great for a short stay. I really appreciated the extras such as the bathroom amenity kit and iPad. right next to yau ma tei station so it’s really easy getting into central Hong Kong.
The hotel is definitely a 5 star world class place! From the greetings at the desk to the world class food offered at the buffet, everything was amazing! If you are American and coming to Hong Kong I highly recommend this location! You will not be disappointed!
For what it is, rather good, i.e., a very cheap room bang slap in central Kowloon, with Victoria Harbour just minutes' walk away. Room was clean and staff friendly. Indian market just below sells some tasty food.
Every single staff member is amazing. Not an easy feat in a place like Hong Kong.
The hotel is great. Don’t let the perception of distance from downtown distract you from the best hidden gem in town.
location is quiet enough yet close to hussle and bussle, Wan Chai (MTR&Ferry), Admiralty (MTR), Central (MTR&Ferry) all within 10-15mins walk. Next to Hong Kong Arts Centre (bonus).
The location, the room and the good service of the hotel's staff.. This was the hotel we stayed in during our first trip to Hong Kong and it was also a happy memory for us.
